City of Vantaa, Education and Learning, Early Childhood Education Nikinmäki Day Care Centre Perhotie 27, 01490 Vantaa Employment duration: Permanent 11.08.2026 or by agreement - Hello enthusiastic early childhood education teacher - welcome to our day care centre! We have a permanent early childhood education teacher position open at the Nikinmäki unit, Nikinmäki Day Care Centre. The start date is 11.8.2026 or by agreement. This season, the teacher will work in a pre-primary education group together with another early childhood education teacher and an early childhood education childcare worker in a pavilion located next to the day care centre. The group also has a group-specific early childhood education assistant. Our unit also has a fixed-term substitute early childhood education teacher position open from 11.8.2026 to 31.5.2027 in a group for 2-4 year olds. Nikinmäki unit is located in Korso-Koivukylä in Vantaa's Northern service area. The unit includes the Siimapuisto and Nikinmäki day care centres. Nikinmäki Day Care Centre is located amidst excellent outdoor terrains. Nearby are outdoor fields, forests, and playgrounds, to which our learning environments extend from the yard area. At Siimapuisto, there is also a lean-to shelter in the yard for small groups, which can be used for atmospheric storytelling moments. Sustainable development, caring for nature, and responsibility are important values to us. Our goal is for children to grow, develop, and learn well in our day care centres. We value child-centeredness, interaction, and a relaxed pace. Presence, joy, pedagogy in all everyday situations, doing things together, and close cooperation with guardians are important to us. The relocation grant applies to permanent employment and only to early childhood education teachers, special early childhood education teachers, and day care centre directors. Employment details Qualification requirement: Early childhood education teacher (qualification of an early childhood education teacher according to the Early Childhood Education Act) In addition to the qualification requirement, we require: Good oral and written skills in Finnish. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the Municipal Education Personnel Collective Agreement (OVTES). Salary: 3129.71-3234 eur/month. An additional 15 eur/month is paid for a degree meeting the early childhood education teacher qualification requirements, and 37.88 eur/month for a Master of Educational Sciences degree. A work experience supplement based on previous work experience is 3-8 %. Required permits: The selected person must present a valid criminal record extract. A tuberculosis clearance for the respiratory system for selected persons working with children under school age will be checked (Communicable Diseases Act § 55).
