The duties of a Youth Worker include, among other things, guidance and educational work for young people, leading groups, planning and implementing activity evenings and themed events together with the working group, and participating in multidisciplinary network work. The client groups at the youth center are students in grades 4-6, as well as lower secondary school students and older youth. The position is based at the Lähde youth center in the Laune multi-purpose building, where the work is primarily performed. We expect the applicant to be of legal age and self-aware - youth work is "adult business". Performance in the job requires the ability to encounter young people as a safe adult, as well as good interaction and communication skills. In this position, you will need a positive and proactive attitude, cooperation skills, and initiative. We hope you have experience in municipal youth work and at least a secondary education degree in the youth field or a Bachelor of Social Services (AMK) degree in community pedagogy. In team meetings, you will be able to exchange ideas and develop activities together with your colleagues. In the job, you will also implement holiday, trip, and camp activities and participate in the joint development work of Youth Services.
