**Company:** Lakitoimisto Työriitajuristit (Suomen Hoitovirhejuristit Oy) **Job Title:** Advocate (full-time) **Location:** Finland (remote) **Advocate specializing in employment dispute litigation** (apply by August 24th – interviews may be conducted earlier) **Summary** - **Role:** Permanent, full-time position (6-month probationary period), where you will take primary responsibility for employment dispute litigation processes. - **Experience:** Years of courtroom experience are not required – the key is not a long background, but qualification as an advocate, a desire to develop, and the readiness to handle cases. - **Working Method:** Fully remote work (except for physical court hearings and occasional annual in-person team meetings). - **Salary:** €5,000 / month. - **Opportunity to expand the role:** In addition to the primary focus on employment disputes, you have the opportunity to handle litigation in other legal fields (e.g., patient injuries) based on your interest. - **Apply by Monday, August 24th:** We will conduct interviews as soon as a suitable candidate is found and may make a selection before the application deadline, so be quick. **WHY APPLY TO US – A firm you may have never heard of before?** We offer a role and a team where you can grow into a winning litigation lawyer. To us, winning means, for example, the following: a client has already tried another experienced firm in their employment dispute negotiations and did not even receive a settlement proposal from the opposing party's so-called "big firm" – but when Työriitajuristit takes the case forward, the opposing party offers significant compensation to our client from the first contact, or the matter is resolved in our favor in court. Same case, different approach – that is winning. You would do the same with us, focusing on litigation. We are a new entrant in the field and still small, but a firm that already commands respect from the opposing party – leaders in our field, yet different in culture from the most famous giants of the industry. We are a good fit for those who - **Would succeed in Finland's TOP firms but do not want an equally grueling culture:** we have enough working time to complete tasks and do not expect 24/7 availability (there can be more to life than work). - **Value full remote work opportunities:** we work distributively across Finland (only mandatory hearings and occasional team meetings in person annually). - **Seek supervisors and colleagues who have time to support their development:** This means regular 1:1 meetings and continuous low-threshold sparring support. **WHAT WE DO** At Lakitoimisto Työriitajuristit (https://tyoriitajuristit.fi/), we support employees when they encounter mistreatment in working life. Most often, this manifests as unfair dismissal, but we also work with employment discrimination and other workplace disputes – always siding with the employee. As a company, we specialize in two legal branches: employment disputes and patient injuries (which is why our official name is Suomen Hoitovirhejuristit Oy). We are now looking for a full-time advocate whose focus is specifically on litigation. **Your role with us** We are looking for an advocate responsible for the processing and litigation of employment dispute cases: you will draft summons and briefs and represent our clients in oral preparatory proceedings and main hearings. Although you hold the lead in the process, our lead advocate and other advocates will support you in the background – you will not be left alone even in the court phase. In addition to employment disputes, you may handle litigation in other legal fields (such as patient injuries) according to your interest. **If this sounds good to you, do the following:** 1. Prepare your CV (attach this to your application via the Google Forms link below) 2. Prepare your arguments for the application questions on the Google Forms form: - Choose and explain a complex procedural law concept in three clear sentences to a person with no legal training – options (choose one): (i) preclusion, (ii) burden of proof in an employment dispute, (iii) the adversarial principle. - What have you admired in the actions of an opposing party (or a more experienced legal colleague) in court? - What is your biggest professional or academic mistake to date? How did you handle the situation and what did you concretely do to correct the consequences? ***Submit your application here: https://forms.gle/iAwGq746oay9GAYY8*** You need a Google account to upload your CV – if that is not possible, you can send your CV by email. However, please answer the other questions via the Google Forms form. ***APPLY FOR THE POSITION BY MONDAY, August 24th, but note that we may interview candidates and make selections before the application deadline, so be quick.*** You can read more about us at: https://tyoriitajuristit.fi/.
