About the role

**We are seeking professional support persons and family workers to do meaningful work supporting children, youth, and families in the Central Uusimaa wellbeing services county.** Do you want to do meaningful work with children, youth, and families while being part of a relaxed and genuinely caring work community? At Tukiluotsi, we are looking for committed and experienced hourly employees for professional support person and intensive family work roles in the Central Uusimaa region (Hyvinkää-Tuusula-Järvenpää-Nurmijärvi-Mäntsälä). **Who are we?** Tukiluotsi is a domestic social services company founded in 2024, providing individual and impactful open child welfare services. We operate close to our clients and in cooperation with families, networks, and commissioners. It is important to us to work by meeting our clients humanely, professionally, and client-centrically. Our premises are located in Nurmijärvi. **What does the work involve?** **Professional Support Work** In the role of a professional support person, you walk alongside a 12-17-year-old youth in their everyday life and help them find their own strengths and direction for the future. The work is goal-oriented and planned, yet flexible and based on the youth's individual needs; it may include, for example, participating in hobbies, supporting schooling, and doing activities together. As a support person, you are an important safe adult who listens, discusses, and provides the youth with positive experiences in everyday life. **Intensive Family Work** In intensive family work, you work closely with the entire family in their everyday life and support them in finding new resources and solutions. The work is goal-oriented and aimed at change, but also humane and based on the family's individual situation. In practice, this can mean supporting parenthood, strengthening everyday management, and developing internal family interaction. You are a professional walking alongside them, offering help with both small daily matters and challenging phases of change. The work emphasizes close cooperation with the family's networks, such as schools, early childhood education, and other actors. The most important thing is that the family is not left alone but has a caring and reliable professional by their side. Intensive family work is performed with a work partner. **What do we expect from you?** - At least 2 years of work experience in child welfare work - Ability to work in the afternoons / afternoon-oriented shifts - Ability to work at least 20 hours per week (hours can be increased if desired) - A degree in social or health services (e.g., Bachelor of Social Services/Sosionomi AMK) - Access to a private car (mileage allowance 0.55 €/km) - Good Finnish language skills (oral and written) - Presentation of a criminal record extract (for working with children and youth) - Registration in Valvira's JulkiTerhikki/JulkiSuosikki register **We consider it an advantage:** - Experience in open services or mobile roles - Completion of Kanta network school courses **What do we offer you?** - Salary according to the private social services sector collective agreement (TES), salary class G25e (+ evening and weekend bonuses and holiday compensation) - Mileage allowances for work travel - Preventive occupational health care and remote doctor services - Orientation and supervisor support, so you are not left alone even in challenging situations - Opportunity to influence your own working hours and job content - A relaxed and direct work community where humor and authenticity are part of everyday life **Interested?** If you want to be part of building meaningful and impactful work for the benefit of children and families, we would love to hear from you!
