Senior Project Manager

We are looking for a strong project-management professional for a Senior Project Manager role in customer delivery projects for Elisa’s corporate-customer data-network and information-security services. As Project Manager, your main responsibility is to lead corporate-customer data-network and information-security projects, and to lead project experts as well as external and internal stakeholders. The role also includes contributing to the preparation of sales proposals. Projects range from small deliveries of individual services to large customers’ multi-service deliveries globally, so your work will offer variety, suitable challenges and opportunities to learn. You will work closely with customers and a broad internal stakeholder network. Success requires strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, and a suitable balance of firmness and flexibility. A goal-oriented approach and a positive, energetic attitude will help you succeed in the sometimes fast-paced and challenging situations of everyday work. To succeed and enjoy the role, we expect you to have: - Strong experience (at least 3 years) leading and delivering extensive data-network and information-security projects for corporate customers. - Knowledge of project-management best practices and demonstrated ability to produce structured project documentation. A project-management certification is an advantage. - Strong scheduling skills, management of task dependencies and workloads, and ability to work with MS Project. - Ability to quickly identify what matters and lead work decisively to achieve results, including at times under pressure. - Strong ability and a track record of leading programmes with several subprojects and project teams with several people; good interpersonal skills and a solution-focused approach will help you in this. - Understanding of basic technical concepts related to telecommunications services and ability to discuss them fluently with customers and experts from a project-management perspective. - A suitable technical or commercial higher-education degree. - Understanding of finance and resource planning, and accountability for the business performance of your own projects. - An entrepreneurial and sales-oriented mindset. - Understanding of the importance of communication and excellent communication skills in Finnish and English. We would be especially pleased if your background also includes a development mindset and healthy critical thinking about how things can always be done better, in the spirit of continuous improvement and learning, as well as experience in international delivery projects.
