Find jobs in Finland with ChatGPT or Claude

What the JobCrawls connector does

JobCrawls publishes a free, public connector at jobcrawls.com/api/connector that any MCP-compatible AI assistant, including Claude and ChatGPT, can use to search real, currently open jobs in Finland. It's read-only: it can look things up, but it can't apply for anything or change your account. There are four tools behind it.

search_jobs
Full-text search plus filters

Free-text search across title, company, and description, combined with filters for field, location, job type, seniority, skills, languages, remoteness and salary.

list_job_filters
See what's actually filterable

Returns the filter categories and their real values, so the assistant narrows a search using options that genuinely exist in the current listings.

get_job_details
The full posting

Pulls the complete description, requirements, benefits and salary for one listing, plus a link to apply on the employer's own page.

calculate_net_salary_finland
Gross to net, and employer cost

A Finnish tax calculator: gross to net (or net to gross), municipality-aware, with employer cost included. Same engine as the JobCrawls tax iceberg calculator.

Results render as inline cards in the chat, the same brand-rail job cards used on jobcrawls.com, with the net-salary result shown as the site's "tax iceberg" scene. Every job card links back to the individual posting so you can read more or apply. See the developer docs for the full parameter reference.

📍
Where the listings come from

Listings come from employers' own career pages and applicant tracking systems, plus Job Market Finland (Työmarkkinatori). Results sourced from Job Market Finland carry that attribution in the card.

02

Setting it up

Adding a custom connector takes about a minute in either assistant. The steps below are current as of September 2026.

Claude (claude.ai)

Go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it JobCrawls and enter the URL https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector. Leave the OAuth fields empty. Save, then enable it in a chat; on first use, Claude asks you to accept an "Allow app" prompt.

Claude Desktop

The same Connectors settings apply in the desktop app: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, same URL, no authentication fields to fill in.

Claude Code

From a terminal, run:

claude mcp add --transport http jobcrawls https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector
Registers the connector for Claude Code sessions

ChatGPT

Open Settings, then Apps and connectors, then enable Developer mode under Advanced. Choose Create, paste in the server URL https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector, and set authentication to None.

🗂️
Directory listings are pending

JobCrawls is being submitted to the Claude Connectors Directory and the ChatGPT plugins directory for one-click installs. Until that's live, the custom-connector steps above are the way to add it.

03

Prompts that work

The connector matches whatever language you write in. These are grouped by what you're trying to do, in English, Finnish and Swedish.

Find jobs

English

"Find me remote software developer jobs in Finland."
"What junior software engineer roles are open in Turku?"

Finnish

"Etsin sairaanhoitajan töitä Tampereelta."
"Onko Helsingissä avoimia etätyöpaikkoja ohjelmistokehittäjälle?"

Swedish

"Finns det lediga jobb som sjukskötare i Åbo?"
"Jag söker jobb som utvecklare i Helsingfors."

Narrow it down

English

"Show me only the ones that don't require Finnish."
"What industries can I filter job listings by on JobCrawls?"

Finnish

"Millä toimialoilla JobCrawlsissa on avoimia työpaikkoja tarjolla?"
"Näytä vain ne, jotka ovat kokoaikaisia."

Swedish

"Vilka branscher finns representerade bland de lediga jobben på JobCrawls?"
"Visa bara de som är på distans."

Read one posting

All languages

"Tell me more about the second result." / "Kerro lisää toisesta tuloksesta." / "Berätta mer om det andra resultatet." The assistant takes the listing id from the search results and calls get_job_details for the full description.

Net salary

English

"What is my net salary in Finland if I earn 4000 euros gross per month?"
"What's the employer cost for a 4500 euro gross monthly salary in Finland?"

Finnish

"Paljonko jää käteen 4200 euron bruttopalkasta Helsingissä?"
"Paljonko nettopalkkaa saa 3500 euron bruttopalkasta Tampereella?"

Swedish

"Vad blir nettolönen på 3800 brutto i Helsingfors?"
"Hur mycket blir lönen i handen för en ingenjör med 4500 i bruttolön?"

Why this beats copy-pasting a job ad into a chatbot

Pasting a job ad's text into a chatbot only gives it a snapshot: whatever you copied, at the moment you copied it, with no way to check if the role is still open or find similar ones. The connector queries a live index instead, so results reflect what's actually posted right now, and every card links straight to the real posting rather than a description you'd have to track down yourself.

It also understands the structure of the Finnish job market that a pasted paragraph doesn't: filters for field, seniority and remoteness that match real listing data, results in Finnish when you ask in Finnish, and a net-salary calculator built on Finland's actual tax rules rather than a chatbot's general knowledge of taxes.

Prefer searching on the site directly? The same live listings and net-salary calculator are one click away, no AI assistant required.

05

Privacy

The connector receives only what a given request needs: the search terms, filters, listing id, or salary inputs for that one call. It does not receive your chat history, files, or memory, and it doesn't require an account. JobCrawls keeps short-lived operational logs of connector requests and nothing more. Full details are in the AI assistant (connector) access section of the privacy policy, and the technical reference is at jobcrawls.com/connector.

06

Troubleshooting

The connector doesn't appear in the assistant

Remove it and add it again, double-checking the URL is exactly https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector with no trailing slash or typo.

Results appear as plain text instead of cards

On first use, both Claude and ChatGPT ask you to approve the app for that specific chat. Accept the prompt, then re-run the search.

Results come back in the wrong language

Write the prompt itself in the language you want, or say "in Finnish" or "in Swedish" explicitly. Each locale is a separate, fully localized index.

Three things worth remembering

01

Free, no login

One connector URL, four read-only tools, no API key and no account.

02

Ask in your language

Write in Finnish, Swedish or English and get results back in that language.

03

Live listings, not a snapshot

Every result links to the real, currently open posting on the employer's own page.

Frequently asked questions

Is the JobCrawls connector for Claude and ChatGPT free?

Yes. Search, job details and the net-salary calculator are free and read-only, with no login and no API key. It queries the same public job index that powers jobcrawls.com and nothing else on your account.

How do I add the JobCrawls connector to Claude?

In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and enter https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector with authentication left empty. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http jobcrawls https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector.

How do I add it to ChatGPT?

Open Settings, then Apps and connectors, enable Developer mode under Advanced settings, choose Create, paste https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector as the server URL, and set authentication to None.

Can I search in Finnish or Swedish, not just English?

Yes. Write your prompt in the language you want results in, or say "in Finnish" or "in Swedish" explicitly. Finnish-market listings are most complete under the Finnish locale, so ask in Finnish for the widest coverage.

Does the connector see my chat history or files?

No. It only receives the specific search terms, filters, listing id or salary inputs needed for that one request, never your broader conversation, files or memory. See the privacy section above for details.

The connector doesn't show results as cards. What's wrong?

On first use, Claude and ChatGPT ask you to approve the connector for that chat; accept the prompt and try again. If it still returns plain text instead of cards, remove and re-add the connector, and confirm the server URL is exactly https://www.jobcrawls.com/api/connector.
