Special needs assistant

Kuopio City's Education Services has a school assistant position available at the Paloaho unit for the period 2 November–22 December 2026. As a school assistant, you will work in multidisciplinary work communities whose aim is to create a safe and encouraging learning environment for pupils who need support. Your work involves guiding, assisting and supporting the pupil at different stages of the learning process, emphasizing independence and self-reliance. In guiding morning and afternoon activities and leisure activities, you will work independently and in a planned manner. The qualification requirement is a school assistant qualification, a practical nurse qualification, or another equivalent qualification in the child or youth sector.
