MIG Welder

We are seeking MIG welding professionals for our client companies across Southwest Finland. Both fixed-term work periods and permanent employment are available at various metal-industry companies. You may be an experienced welder or a metal-industry worker at the beginning of your career. What matters is that you know the basics of MIG welding and take the quality of your work seriously. The work in practice The work varies according to the company and the products being manufactured. You may weld individual metal parts, assemblies or larger steel structures. The materials and material thicknesses used depend on the assignment. In addition to welding, the work may include preparing, fitting and finishing pieces and inspecting your own work. The tasks are carried out using technical drawings and specified measurements. At some workplaces the work is mainly independent, while at others you will work more closely with production or a project team. What skills are useful in the work? We hope you have practical experience in MIG welding and are ready to produce high-quality work in different situations. You should be able to understand the item being manufactured from drawings and check that the finished piece matches the specified measurements. We particularly value: - Education in the metal industry or practical professional skills acquired through work. - Experience welding steel or other metals. - Understanding technical drawings. - The ability to complete work stages independently and on your own initiative. - An interest in developing your welding skills. - Attention to occupational safety at every stage of the work. Valid welding qualifications and an occupational safety card are useful, but whether they are needed depends on the workplace. In your application, describe as accurately as possible your previous welding work, the materials you have used and your valid qualifications. Employment and pay The employment may be fixed-term or permanent. Working hours and any shift work are agreed according to the client company’s assignment. Pay is €14–20 per hour. The final pay depends on your work experience, welding skills, any qualifications and the difficulty of the work. The Technology Industry collective agreement applies to the employment.
