The work model for this role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Drive Products Division (Motion business area) in Business Line Regional Markets. Product management function collaborates closely with different R&D units, marketing, regional sales teams, OEM customers, supply chain partners, and internal technical teams. You will be mainly accountable for - Understanding regional market requirements, OEM customers, machinery segments, and competitive dynamics—translating them into regional portfolio strategy, motor specifications, and technical requirements for servo + motor bundles. - Defining technical specifications, compatibility criteria, and quality standards for servo motors; collaborating with SCM to evaluate suppliers and establish performance expectations aligned with ABB standards. - Managing technical integration and system validation of servo drives with different motors—ensuring compatibility testing, compliance with local regulations, and comprehensive technical documentation in regional languages. - Developing regional pricing strategies, cost models, and competitive positioning for bundled offerings; monitoring profitability and providing pricing guidance to sales teams while coordinating cost inputs with SCM. - Supporting regional go-to-market execution with sales teams and channel partners with technical training and support; managing customer escalations and ensuring technical excellence of organization in customer interactions. Qualifications for the role - You are highly skilled in and deeply engaged with servo drive and motor technology, motion control systems (especially EtherCAT), and the industrial machinery OEM market. - You have 2-5 years of proven experience in product management, application engineering, or technical sales within the industrial drives/motion sector—ideally working with motor/drive product lines or servo systems. - You possess advanced knowledge in motor specifications (power ratings, encoder types, feedback systems), system integration, and product testing/validation. - You are passionate about technical excellence, customer problem-solving, and translating complex market needs into practical product strategies. - You hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical field. - You are at ease communicating in English (fluent); Finnish language is a plus. - You have experience coordinating with supply chain and sourcing teams and understand vendor management fundamentals.
