Stone Conservator

We are looking for a Stone Conservator to join a conservation project! We are looking for a full-time conservator for conservation work carried out during the autumn and winter seasons. Work begins at the start of October. The exact duration of the project will be confirmed once the condition assessment of the statues has been completed. The work is a day job that takes place primarily indoors, in a heated hall in Helsinki. The role focuses on the conservation and restoration of stone statues. You will be responsible for independently conserving and restoring statues either for reinstallation in their original locations or for museum display, depending on their condition. The employment contract will be concluded as a fixed-term contract with Henkilöstöliiga. Requirements -Formal education in stone conservation -Previous professional experience in similar conservation projects, with references or documented evidence -Knowledge of conservation documentation practices, material analysis and cleaning methods -Expertise in structural reinforcement, patching, and jointing Finnish language skills are considered an advantage Henkilöstöliiga always guarantees reliable payroll administration services and you will recieve your own HR contact for the entire duration of your employment.
