Education Services is seeking for a permanent employment contract two SCHOOL ASSISTANTS for Rajamäki School for the period 10.8.2026 - 4.6.2027 The working hours for the school assistant are 25 hours per week. In addition to four parallel general education classes, the school has several special education classes. Our daily operations emphasize a safe atmosphere, individual attention to children, and smooth cooperation between different professional groups. As a school assistant, you are an important part of the students' school day and well-being. You will work in close cooperation with teachers and other staff to support students in need in their daily lives, learning, and participation. The duty of the school assistant is to assist students who need special help in managing daily school situations. The eligibility requirement is a vocational qualification in school assistance and morning and afternoon activities (formerly vocational qualification as a school assistant) or an equivalent vocational qualification (e.g., childcare worker, practical nurse, or youth instructor). The person selected for the position must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). The employment relationship is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. Remuneration and terms of service are determined in accordance with the Municipal General Civil Servants and Government Employees Collective Agreement (KVTES). The level salary for the position is 2310.93 euros per month based on full-time employment in general education. In addition, a work experience supplement may be paid based on previous work experience. The KVTES work experience supplement is 3% or 8% of the position-specific salary, depending on relevant experience. Interested?
