Job Description

South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a Service Supervisor for a permanent position at Kangasniemi Annin- and Otontupa, as well as Group Home Männikkö, starting on 3 August 2026 or according to agreement. Annin- and Otontupa is located in South Savo in Kangasniemi, known as Finland's most beautiful municipality. We operate in new, comfortable premises across two floors with 56 client places. Our hybrid building offers both short-term and long-term communal and 24-hour care services for elderly clients. Additionally, in the yard, there is Group Home Männikkö, which serves 22 long-term, around-the-clock, communal care clients. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for the operations, development, and quality of services at the units. You will lead activities and development work, identifying and managing risks. You will plan, monitor, and report on financial matters, lead staff with sufficient resources, and follow your organization’s guidelines. You will work alongside a professional with an expanded job description. You will also be part of an active and professional team of residential service supervisors, from whom you will receive collegial peer support. Your support team includes the Service Area Manager and the Service Area Coordinator. We offer a respectful work community where you can utilize your professional skills in various ways. Currently, we focus especially on work well-being and the attractiveness and retention of elderly services. The role requires strong organizational skills, collaboration skills, change management, and an interest in development work. We expect genuine interest in elderly clients and commitment to the work community. We value good communication and collaboration skills, flexibility, and an open and enthusiastic attitude. Administrative tasks require good IT skills or willingness to learn new things, and the ability to take responsibility. We expect your work to be goal-oriented and reliable. Eloisa offers comprehensive employee benefits, including a 200-euro benefit for sports, culture, or well-being services. We want you to enjoy working with us and feel good at our workplace. The qualification requirement is a suitable higher university degree and a social or health care university of applied sciences degree or a previous vocational qualification, along with a license under the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994) or the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015). Additionally, sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the role. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health statement regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory system as per section 55. From 1 January 2024, a person working with elderly clients must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds three months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28). The employment is subject to a six (6) month probation period. Applications must be received by the deadline. Applications should be submitted through the Kuntarekry system.
