As a health center doctor you will perform versatile general practitioner work at Turku's largest health center, where skilled colleagues, a strong training culture and the opportunity to influence your own duties make everyday work smooth and professionally rewarding. Task: You work as a general practitioner at the Keskustan health center in Turku. In your practice you encounter both non-urgent and urgent daytime patients, and your duties include on-call care. The work is versatile general practice where you can apply your skills broadly for the patient's benefit. You will work in a multidisciplinary team where cooperation runs smoothly and collegial consultation works excellently. The work community supports professional growth and enables sharing of expertise in daily work. The task also includes sector work, emphasizing preventive health care such as school physician and child health clinic duties. Other sector tasks can also be organized, and you can influence your job description to some extent according to your interests. Keskustan health center is Turku’s largest with 36 doctors. The health center is located in Turku city center on Käsityöläiskatu. We are a popular training place and operate on a self-team model. The doctors' training program is excellent: in addition to weekly on-site trainings you can participate in external continuing education according to your interests and Varha rules. Your professional development is also supported by a training doctor. You can influence your own work list, working hours are flexible and partial remote work is possible within certain limits. What we expect from you: You have high motivation for general practice and its development within the health center and good interpersonal skills. Eligibility: licensed physician in Finland. Language requirements: good spoken and written Finnish and satisfactory spoken and written Swedish. Merit: specialist qualification in general medicine, entitlement to pursue specialist training in general medicine, completed YEK training, and long and diverse prior experience as a GP in a health center.
