CAM Software Developer

We are currently looking for a CAM Software Developer for a permanent position in Seinäjoki **What will you be doing?** As a CAM Software Developer, you will develop solutions that directly impact the performance and reliability of NC machines. In your work, you will design and implement automatic calculation routines and develop interactive functions for CAM software. The goal is to improve the speed, efficiency, and usability of the machines. In this role, the primary focus is on software development and practical coding. The work also includes specification, architecture design, and close collaboration with the team, but it is a strongly hands-on developer role where you can dive deep into technical challenges. You will work as part of a five-person CAM team in an international operating environment. Your workstation is located in Seinäjoki at Nuppiväylä 7. You will work partly on-site and partly remotely, and the working model can be agreed upon flexibly according to the situation. **What are we looking for?** In this role, strong technical execution is the deciding factor. We are looking for a developer who enjoys coding and solving challenging technical problems and wants to dive deep into algorithms and mathematical questions. You have strong experience in C++ programming and the ability to build functional and efficient solutions at a practical level. Mathematics is a natural tool for you, and you master areas such as trigonometry, matrix calculus, and optimization. Previous experience in algorithm development will help you succeed in the role. You work fluently independently and move things forward proactively, but you also know how to ask for help and spar with your team when necessary. We value a clear way of thinking, a practical approach to problem-solving, and a desire to learn new things. Your background could be a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, but the most important things to us are expertise and a genuine interest in the subject – strong skills may have been acquired through other means. Additionally, experience in the CAD/CAM world, 3D modeling, or industrial software is considered an advantage. Experience with Siemens environments, C# development, or the utilization of AI also supports success in the work but is not essential.
