Finnish Language and Communication Skills Teacher

This full description explains that the role involves teaching Finnish language to adult immigrants to support their integration and employment in Finnish society. The candidate should hold an advanced applicable university degree with Finnish language basic and subject studies completed, a pedagogical qualification, and preferably experience working with adult immigrants. If the candidate’s language of instruction differs from Finnish, they must also provide evidence of the upper-level language proficiency test or the state language exam at an excellent level. The position is a full-time (päätoiminen) or part-time role with a daily 7-hour shift and weekly hours between 16 and 38.25; wages and terms follow KT’s teaching staff collective agreement (OTES, Section E); starting date can be immediate or by agreement. A 3-month probation applies.
