Role at Sweco As an experienced designer of new construction for demanding projects, you will be responsible for building design tasks and coordinating the design package across multidisciplinary projects, where functionality, energy efficiency, safety, flexibility, and close collaboration between different design disciplines are emphasized. In your work you will ensure that architectural design progresses with quality, customer orientation, and in line with project objectives. You will work in close collaboration with our architect colleagues and representatives from other design disciplines on project teams. At the moment our needs are focused on data center experts, but we offer the opportunity to participate in very diverse projects. Your duties include mentoring and sharing knowledge with younger designers. You will have the chance to participate in international, ambitious, technically demanding data center projects, where solutions are developed quickly to meet the changing needs of the sector. In these projects an experienced specialist can also learn new things. Our architectural studios are located in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Kuopio. Requirements to succeed in the role A degree as an architect or building architect and the qualifications to work as a building designer are required. We expect you to have fluent Finnish and English spoken and written, and experience with Revit and ACC. Ideally you have experience with data center projects or large/complex industrial projects, and willingness to work as a building designer in demanding new-build projects. We value the ability to understand large entities, coordinate the needs of different design disciplines, and communicate clearly with customers, authorities and the project organization. We also value the ability to mentor younger colleagues and a desire to develop data center architectural design together with an experienced team.
