Early Morning Delivery Worker, Turku We are looking for early-morning delivery workers for Turku postal-code areas: 20210, 20240, 20320, 20360, 20380, 20400 and 20460. Lounais-Suomen Tietojakelu regularly has early-morning delivery work opportunities in Turku and nearby municipalities. The work is well suited, for example, to students, people looking for extra income and those who value independent work. Please note that delivery routes are not continuously available in every area. However, we interview new applicants continuously and maintain a regional applicant register. This allows us to contact a suitable applicant quickly when a delivery route becomes available near their residential area. Applicants are invited to interview based on their place of residence and the estimated recruitment needs in different areas. Bicycle delivery routes are generally offered within about five kilometres of the applicant’s home address. What is the work like? As an early-morning delivery worker, you work approximately 3–5 hours per night, usually between 1:00 and 6:00 a.m. The work involves delivering newspapers, magazines and addressed mail along a predetermined route. The work schedule is generally six working nights and two nights off, providing a regular rhythm and making it easier to plan your daily life. Delivery routes and equipment In Turku, deliveries are mainly made using a bicycle provided by the employer. Outside Turku, delivery routes are completed using either your own car or an employer’s car. We pay the applicable mileage allowance for use of your own car. Pay and induction Pay is determined under the collective agreement between Teollisuusliitto and Medialiitto. A new delivery worker’s average hourly earnings, including supplements, are approximately €12–13 per hour. You will receive paid daytime induction as well as practical guidance on your own delivery route at night. We also pay a familiarisation payment of €900 during the first nine working months.
