Patria is seeking a Production Engineering Manager for its Defence and Weapon Systems business to strengthen the collaboration between production and product development at the Hämeenlinna and Tampere sites. In this new role, you will lead the Production Engineering team and be responsible for developing the manufacturability, production capacity, and manufacturing solutions for new products. You will support the launch of new products, develop manufacturing methods, and ensure that production perspectives are considered early in the product development phase. Key responsibilities include coordinating DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) activities with product design, developing and implementing manufacturing methods, creating time calculations for production capacity planning, developing manufacturing processes according to lean principles, maintaining the factory's preventive maintenance system, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring machinery and equipment safety. You will also lead the NPI (New Product Introduction) process for bringing new products into production. The role requires close cooperation with product development, quality, production, and suppliers. Candidates should have a relevant technical degree (e.g., Engineer or Master of Science in Technology) and experience in production development, manufacturability improvement, or NPI activities. Experience in people management, project management, lean thinking, and continuous improvement methods is expected. Experience in the manufacturing of technical products, such as mechanical engineering or electronics assembly, is highly valued. Fluency in Finnish is required, along with good English skills for technical documentation and international collaboration.
