Cashier for Christmas helper

We are seeking two customer-oriented and genuinely positive cashiers to join Kouvola Katajaharju Tokmanni for the Christmas season. The role focuses on cashier duties and customer service at the register. Section duties include receiving goods, shelving, planning and implementing product displays, and ensuring the store is welcoming. A key part of the job is assisting customers with various questions, and team members support each other as needed. The position is a 2-month fixed-term contract. Start date is 1 November 2026, and working hours are 5-10 hours per week. There is an option to adjust hours by taking shifts at nearby stores. We will fill the role as soon as a suitable colleague is found. To qualify, you must be of legal working age and have: a friendly customer service attitude, good interpersonal and collaboration skills, willingness to work in a moving and fast-paced environment, proactive and thorough work style, ability to work varied shifts on weekdays and weekends, pride in your work and interest in developing your profession, ability to serve customers in Finnish (good English considered a plus), prior Veikkaus experience is a bonus. Physical fitness and mobility are important as the role involves handling and moving heavy products. Retail education and experience are a plus, but enthusiasm for retail and store work is most important.
