We are seeking an information professional to join the Joensuu regional library project. The role involves developing and guiding outreach libraries’ services, organizing the daily work of the Joensuu library bus Mysteerin route operations, and participating in customer and information services on routes and in acquisitions for the vehicle’s library services, including home visiting services. The candidate will contribute to developing and implementing outreach services concepts in the regional library, and will work flexibly in a team with varied working days. The job is based at Joensuu City Library with the library bus Mysteeri as the mobile unit. Advantageous are knowledge of library bus technology and possession of a C-driver’s license with professional driving qualifications. Current outreach services include library bus services, home visiting, and prison library work. Seniority work is planned to be developed in coming years. The region operates three library buses, one of which will be replaced this autumn and others in the coming years. Required is a suitable higher education degree including or in addition at least 60 ECTS of higher education studies in library and information science.
