About the role

Our mission and why it matters We are on a mission to make humans the strongest security layer. Human risk remains one of the biggest vulnerabilities and traditional awareness training is not enough. We take a different approach by combining AI-driven personalization, real threat detection, and behavioral science to actively protect people and organizations. We don't just simulate risks. We build the tools that detect and stop them. Why this role matters Most cybersecurity tools are built for machines. At Hoxhunt, we build for the humans using them. Our incident response platform is experiencing rapid commercial growth and increased user adoption globally. The platform is a key security tool for our customers, used by Security Operations Center (SOC) teams daily in order to triage and automatically remediate malicious cyberattacks. When these workflows are intuitive, organizations are protected instantly and around the clock. As a Senior Product Designer, your mission is to turn the complex, data-heavy reality of incident response into clarity and speed. You will own the user experience of our threat mitigation platform, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to increase design throughput and ensuring security professionals have the fast, powerful tools they need to stop cybercrime. What you’ll own and drive - Design and own the UI/UX of our incident response platform. You will create features that create an intuitive and clear experience for security operators helping them to their desired outcomes, bringing uncompromising attention to craft and highly detailed, pixel-level quality to the designs. - Improve and streamline complex, data-heavy user flows. You will review existing designs and turn legacy UI patterns into clear, reusable system components, balancing AI-assisted speed with exceptional polish and usability. - Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and a small, flat design team of 5 designers. You will move work forward with momentum - free of committee-based bottlenecks - ensuring your high-fidelity designs translate cleanly into production. - Validate and iterate concepts with cutting-edge AI tools for rapid prototyping. You will validate your design decisions with clear assumptions, collecting evidence and working with Product Analytics, customers and users rather than relying purely on intuition. - Contribute to our design system. You will help define core components, reduce design debt, and ensure closer code integration and consistency across the entire platform. What success looks like In your first three months, you will learn the core workflows of our incident response product, dive into our design system, and begin shipping UI improvements using rapid prototyping and AI tools. By month six, you will be independently owning and streamlining complex, end-to-end user flows, making a high individual impact and visibly contributing to the overall design quality and consistency of the platform. By month twelve, together with the team you have started to envision and work on the next product iteration of the incident response product, driving the UX principles and quality to boost adoption even further. What makes you thrive here You have: - Strong product design experience with a portfolio that showcases comprehensive design work - we want to see full flows, multiple screens, and actual pixel work. - Deep proficiency in Figma with a strong focus on complex SaaS product designs (mobile-only experience won't be sufficient for this role). - A proven ability to streamline complex user flows, designing for efficiency and intuitiveness in data-heavy environments. - A strong enthusiasm for AI tools in design - you are curious and experimental with them, eager to learn, and comfortable using tools for rapid prototyping. - A collaborative, team-player mindset. You are seeking high individual impact and ownership rather than hierarchical advancement. - A willingness to show us your "messy" Figma files, work-in-progress, and how you gather inspiration and benchmark. - Focus on “shipping” capabilities that bring value to customers early and often. Bonus points if you also: - Have experience improving user flows in complex domains with a large user and data event base. - Have experience working closely with, or contributing to, comprehensive design systems. AI Nativeness at Hoxhunt At Hoxhunt, we use AI as a powerful multiplier across engineering and design, allowing our product teams to solve complex problems faster and with greater focus. In practice, that means: - AI removes the busywork. We use AI tools to unblock early thinking, generate boilerplate, and explore options rapidly. This frees up our designers and engineers to spend their time on high-level judgment and critical product decisions. - We build with agentic workflows. Rather than writing every line of code by hand, our engineering teams are designing and optimizing harnesses that allow teams of AI agents to work in parallel. - The path from idea to production is shorter. By integrating AI into our daily routines, we reduce handoffs, minimize rewriting, and create a better, faster flow from concept to deployment. - We think in systems and feedback loops. AI outputs only matter if they fit our established design systems and architecture. We use AI to continuously iterate and improve the development process itself. - We build for reality, not best-case scenarios. Because our platform deals with real cyber threats, AI makes questions of trust, security, failure, and edge cases more important, not less. Who you’ll work with You’ll be the design owner in one of our six product teams - small, focused, and built for real ownership. Here designers, engineers, and product managers work side by side, shaping not just what we build, but how we build it. We care deeply about craft and collaboration. You’ll partner with engineers and security experts who are curious, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. People here don’t wait for perfect briefs - they explore, challenge, and iterate together. We’re product-first and AI-positive, using AI to amplify creativity and speed up the path from idea to impact. As a designer, you’ll have the space to think deeply, move fast, and influence decisions, while being supported by a team that genuinely values design as a core part of the product. What you can expect from us - Compensation: Monthly salary from €5,500-6000 (depending on your experience) - Working ways: We work in a flexible, but hybrid work setting. We hope to see you in the Helsinki office weekly. - High performance meets high humanity: We bring an incredibly driven, high-impact energy to our work, but we leave our egos at the door. You will be surrounded by wildly talented, dedicated colleagues in an environment built on extreme kindness, support, and psychological safety. - Authentic trust & autonomy: We hire great people and trust them to do great work. You will find a culture free of micromanagement, giving you the autonomy to take real ownership, drive impact, and shape things early on. - A product you can be proud of: It is incredibly rare in cybersecurity to build a product that end-users genuinely love. You will join a fast-paced, technically sophisticated team making a real, measurable impact against cybercrime. - The perks that matter: Alongside this amazing community, you will enjoy extensive healthcare with other benefits and our wonderful office in Helsinki (complete with a gym, swimming pool and jacuzi!). Recruitment Process We want to get to know you and how you think! Our process includes: 1. Intro meeting with Talent Acquisition (30 min, remote). 2. Interview with the Group Product Manager and Senior Designer: Portfolio & design discussion (we want to see your messy files and real workflows!) (60 min, remote). 3. Assignment & Panel Interview (90 min, onsite). 4. Meeting with our CTO (30 min, remote). 5. Reference checks and final offer.
