We are seeking an early childhood education teacher for a permanent position at Koivumankka Day Care Centre in the Tapiola area. Our day care centre operates five groups, and in the coming term, you will work in the 2-4-year-olds group. Your team members will be another early childhood education teacher and a childcare worker. Koivumankka Day Care Centre is located in the lush and culturally rich area of Tapiola, where nature, parks, and safe playgrounds are right next door. The area provides an excellent setting for pedagogical work: forest excursions, proximity to museums and the cultural centre, and a peaceful environment support children's learning and well-being as well as the teacher's work capacity. The metro station and bus stops are located near the day care centre. The day care centre is a community-oriented and warm place where collaborative action is visible in daily life. Our day care centre also has a parents' association. In our day care centre, we emphasize presence with children and the well-being of both children and adults. This workplace is accessible. Eligibility requirement: Eligibility according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). At least a Bachelor of Education degree that includes early childhood education teacher training, or a university of applied sciences degree in social and health care (early childhood education), or a previous equivalent college-level degree, e.g., a kindergarten teacher or social educator degree (Act 272/2005 and Decree no. 608/2005). Early childhood education teachers who are about to graduate will also be considered. We require good teamwork and interaction skills as well as a responsible approach to work. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with children under school age.
