Art Teacher

We are seeking a full-time hourly teacher for visual arts and resource teaching at Merenkurkun koulu for the period 11.8.2026 - 5.6.2027. Merenkurkun koulu is a lower secondary school located in the center of Vaasa with approximately 440 students. In addition to general education, the school provides Swedish language immersion teaching, bilingual (Finnish-English) teaching, and flexible basic education. The duties of the full-time hourly teacher include visual arts teaching (9h/week) in Finnish for grades 7-9, as well as resource teaching in other subjects (at least 7h/week) based on the school's needs and the selected applicant's strengths. Eligibility requirement is qualification in accordance with Decree 986/1998. In the absence of eligible applicants, other applicants will also be considered. We require mastery of diverse teaching methods and a good knowledge of the curriculum.
