We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, primarily based at the Saariselkä Daycare Center. The Early Childhood Education Teacher is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the pedagogy for their children's group in cooperation with other team members. We value a child-centered, developmental, and solution-oriented approach, expertise in organizing support for children, and good interaction skills. Pre-primary teacher qualification and proficiency in English and North Sámi are considered an advantage. The eligibility requirement for the position of early childhood education teacher is the qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018 26§), taking into account applicants according to the transitional provision (75§) of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018. A Bachelor of Education degree must include studies providing professional readiness for early childhood education tasks, or a university of applied sciences degree in social and health care with at least 60 ECTS credits specializing in early childhood education and social pedagogy, as well as pre-primary education studies approved by the Ministry of Education. Working hours are on average 38 h 15 min/week. The current level salary for the position is €3,137.80–3,240.21/month. In addition, an Inari supplement of 3%, experience supplements, other possible supplements, and benefits according to Ovtes are paid. The position starts on September 1, 2026, or by agreement.
