Production Engineer

Terrafame is seeking a Metal Recovery Production Engineer for their operations in Sotkamo. This is a permanent, full-time day job with hybrid work possibilities. The role focuses on supporting, developing, and monitoring metal recovery production processes to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and according to targets. The engineer will work closely with the production organization, plant services, laboratory, technical experts, and the development organization. Key responsibilities include analyzing production performance, developing processes, and continuously improving operating models. Specific duties involve monitoring and analyzing production processes, investigating deviations, reporting performance, developing instructions, and supporting daily process technical queries. The role also includes collaborating on equipment performance, participating in investment and development projects, training production operators, and improving safety and quality. Candidates should have a Master's degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field. A development-oriented, systematic, and analytical approach is required, along with a safety-first mindset and fluent Finnish language skills. Experience in process, metal, or mining industries, as well as knowledge of production control, maintenance systems, and automation/process control systems, is highly valued.
