At EMU Growth Partners, we combine modern financial administration and payroll services with a broad range of advisory, HR, legal and systems services. We want to create the best customer experience in the industry by being a human and reliable guide for businesses. People-centred values are at the heart of what we do and are evident in our everyday work. EMU is growing and we are looking for new colleagues to join our lively team! EMU is a close-knit community of people from different backgrounds, with our employees and customers at the centre of our work. We already have more than 100 EMU colleagues in three countries and want to build the best company culture in the financial administration sector. We are now looking for a new Financial Manager! Do you see consolidated financial statements as a puzzle whose solution is rewarding? Would you like work that does not leave you stuck in one company’s monthly routine? This role may be for you. At EMU, you will work with several clients of different sizes, from growth companies to international groups. One day you may reconcile group eliminations; the next, build a proper first forecasting model for a growth company. Group reporting for our clients is at the core of your work, alongside opportunities to expand into business controlling according to clients’ needs and your own interests. You will see financial management from many angles and develop along the way. Your work will include: - Taking responsibility for group reporting: preparing monthly and quarterly reports and coordinating group financial statements to completion on schedule. - Handling consolidation: taking care of intercompany items and eliminations, currency conversions, minority interests and changes in group structure. - Managing tools and structures: building and maintaining mappings in consolidation tools and reporting structures. - Coordinating and guiding: acting as the contact person for accountants in group companies and ensuring schedules, intercompany balance reconciliations and the monthly close run smoothly. - Forecasting and reporting to management: preparing group-level budgets and forecasts, as well as reports to support management and board decision-making. - Developing and advising: liaising with auditors, actively improving clients’ finance processes and controls, automating recurring work and confidently adopting new tools, including AI. What we expect from you: - A strong background in group accounting: at least five years of experience in group reporting and preparing consolidated financial statements, with strong expertise in consolidated financial statements under Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS). - Practical accounting and systems expertise: strong hands-on accounting and financial statement skills, and experience with at least one consolidation tool. - Coordination and leadership skills: good coordination skills and the ability to lead work so that clear instructions, schedules and follow-up help several companies and people deliver their part on time. - A systematic and accurate approach: you keep the whole picture under control even when it is busy, notice when figures do not reconcile and find the reason. - Clear communication skills: you communicate fluently and clearly in Finnish and English with both client management and people in group companies. Swedish is an advantage, but not essential. The following are considered advantages: - BrightAnalytics skills - IFRS expertise - An audit or consulting background - Experience with growth companies - Knowledge of sustainability reporting (ESG) What we offer: - Modern tools and excellent benefits, including lunch, commuting, health, massage, sports and culture benefits, as well as comprehensive occupational healthcare. - The opportunity to work remotely and flexibility to develop your expertise. - A workplace free from rigid hierarchy. - Distinctive, motivated and enthusiastic colleagues. - An excellent employee experience that is regularly measured and studied. The position is permanent and full-time. Remote work and flexibility have long been normal ways of working at EMU. In addition to remote work, you are always welcome at EMU’s offices in Helsinki, Turku or Kajaani. The salary range is €5,000–€5,700 per month, depending on your skills and experience. The start date is by agreement, and we hope you can start as soon as possible. We fill the position as soon as we find a suitable person, so please send your application today! For more information, contact Matias Helle, Head of CFO Services, at matias.helle@emu.fi. The best times to reach Matias by phone are 16 October from 9:30 to 10:30 and 23 October from 10:00 to 11:00.
