The department seeks a Chief Physician for adolescent psychiatry in the HUS Helsinki University Hospital adolescent psychiatry line, with placement at the Pasila adolescent psychiatry outpatient clinic. The unit provides specialized inpatient and outpatient care for 13–17-year-old patients, including assessments, diagnostic investigations, consultations, and treatments. The role is autonomous and includes clinical work as well as line management responsibilities, development of internal operations related to acute care, processing referrals, and supervision of resident doctors. The clinic includes three multi-professional care teams and a dedicated Intensive Outpatient Team for urgent patients. The Chief Physician’s clinical work concentrates on one of the teams, with special responsibility for acute functions within the clinic; they also supervise the Intensive Outpatient and Open ICU units. The Chief Physician participates in on-call duties and may perform day-time on-call shifts. The position starts 1 September 2026 or by agreement. The temporary employment may be possible. The candidate must have Specialist Doctor qualifications in adolescent psychiatry and be licensed or permitted to work as a doctor; the position may also be filled temporarily by a physician in training for adolescent psychiatry or another psychiatry specialty. A criminal background check in accordance with the Finnish Criminal Records Act will be required.
