Assistant Ward Manager for Adolescent Psychiatry – come build impactful nursing work in Central Uusimaa! Do you want to combine your expertise in adolescent psychiatry, supervisory work, and development into a meaningful whole? We are now looking for an Assistant Ward Manager for adolescent psychiatry services in Central Uusimaa for a permanent position. The area of responsibility includes the adolescent psychiatry day unit in Järvenpää and the adolescent psychiatry clinics in Hyvinkää and Nurmijärvi. What does the job entail? In Central Uusimaa's adolescent psychiatry services, 13–17-year-old youth who require specialized medical care examination and treatment are treated. The work is based on close cooperation with the youth, the family, and various networks. As an Assistant Ward Manager, you will act as a close partner to the Ward Manager and actively participate in the management and development of the adolescent psychiatric units in the region. You will be responsible for occupational and patient safety, the quality of nursing care, and supporting the well-being of the staff. Your duties include, among others: - guiding and developing care and examination processes - tasks related to occupational well-being - strengthening nursing expertise - shift planning skills when necessary - daily organization of resources - coordination of referrals - induction of new employees - participation in the development of operations and the assessment of change situations - ensuring cooperation with other adolescent psychiatry units - working with various stakeholders In your work, you will be able to influence both the daily lives of the staff and the quality of care received by the youth. You will be supported by the Ward Manager and a wide network of other Assistant Ward Managers and Ward Managers. What do we hope for from you? We especially value: - education supporting supervisory work - previous experience in supervisory or team responsibility roles - a desire to develop operations together with a multidisciplinary work community. Eligibility requirements for the position A suitable higher university degree and suitable experience, or a lower university degree supplemented by suitable studies in management or administration or included in the degree and suitable experience, or previously approved ward manager qualification and suitable experience, or a vocational college degree in the field supplemented by studies in management or administration and suitable experience, and additionally a licensed healthcare professional. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. Language requirements are good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish.
