Rajavartiolaitoksen esikunta seeks a systems technician for the IT unit of the technical department in the Lapland service group. The official workplace is in Rovaniemi. The system installer is responsible for installation, repair, maintenance and servicing of border surveillance technology systems (fixed, portable, mobile) within the service group, as well as documentation. In addition, the system installer participates in procurement and storage of IT materials and other work within the service group, including installation, repair, maintenance and servicing of border inspection technology, camera and video surveillance systems and basic IT systems. It also participates in the group’s electrical work and in the installation, repair and maintenance of communications, radio, VIRVE and telephone systems. The role includes mast work; the employer provides training for mast work, and work is mainly carried out in locations up to 30 meters high.
