The position is located within the 2nd grade team. Valkeavuori School is a comprehensive school with approximately 840 students in the center of Kaarina. We began operations in August 2025 in new school premises at the Valkeavuori campus. Valkeavuori Kindergarten and the family center are also located in the same building. Additionally, the Kaarina Upper Secondary School and the Adult Education Centre use the facilities regularly. The Valkeavuori Sports Hall, completed in 2022, is connected to the Valkeavuori campus. We expect from you: - good skills in interacting with students and developing arrangements that support learning, - experience in multidisciplinary cooperation with various networks, - interest in promoting student wellbeing, - knowledge of learning support legislation and the curriculum, - the ability and willingness to engage in joint planning and the development of student-specific support together with other special education teachers and class teachers, - solution-orientedness and flexibility in various situations that arise, - professional skill in presenting matters, - that working together is an important value to you. Children's safety is important in all our activities, and a commitment to protecting children's personal integrity and safety is an absolute requirement for selection. Therefore, we will check your criminal record extract before signing the employment contract (Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). Eligibility requirements are determined according to the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff 986/1998.
