HUS Women's Clinic in Helsinki is seeking three midwives for permanent positions in the maternity unit. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role is guided by family-centeredness and customer orientation, operating within a Lean framework in a teaching hospital environment. The work involves three-shift rotations and starts on October 26, 2026, or as agreed. The maternity unit is divided into two sections: Luotsi, which handles high-risk and extremely premature births, and Aallokko, a midwife-led unit for low-risk births. The unit also includes three operating rooms and a family recovery room. Midwives may also work in late-pregnancy clinics, including post-term visits, inductions, and fear-of-childbirth clinics (individual, digital, and group sessions). There is an opportunity to train as a family recovery midwife. Candidates should be open to change, possess a positive attitude, and have a genuine interest in developing midwifery. Good cooperation and interaction skills are essential, and diverse experience in midwifery is an advantage. Requirements
- Licensed midwife OR licensed registered nurse with a specialist nursing degree in maternity and gynecological care
- Good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory skills in Swedish, OR good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory skills in Finnish
- Vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act
- Health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis
