Villa Familia is a child protection unit that includes a foster home, family rehabilitation, and a children’s home. At Villa Familia, children and adolescents aged 0–17 live in care and long-term placements. As a caregiver you play a key role in their daily life, providing daily care, nursing, and support for development; help create a safe and predictable everyday life; collaborate with the children’s relatives and various networks. We are now seeking a caregiver for our children’s home for a fixed-term contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 January 2027. Work is on a three-shift schedule. The caregiver’s core duties include caring for and guiding placed youths and participating in cooperation between parents and networks. A basic degree in the social, health or pedagogical sector is required. We value good teamwork, knowledge of Swedish and Finnish, and an interest in developing the operations. A positive attitude and the ability to meet people in different life situations are valued. Experience from child protection work is especially meritorious, but experience from substance abuse and/or psychiatric work and/or crisis work is also considered an asset. A driver’s license is necessary. We offer an inclusive work community where colleagues support each other. The salary is in accordance with the collective agreement for the private social services sector.
