Hospital Cleaner

Come work as a hospital maintenance worker in the KYS surgical unit! Surgical units are among the hospital's highest hygiene level facilities, where work is done together. We are key to the smooth daily operation of the hospital, and our skilled, trained staff ensures that the facilities are safe and hygienic for both customers and staff. Every workday is meaningful. The work of a hospital maintenance worker in the surgical unit is responsible and versatile: tasks include intermediate and final cleaning, periodic and basic cleaning, as well as transport of instruments from operating rooms. The work ensures patient safety and together we create the conditions for successful treatment results. We are now looking for a hospital maintenance worker/cleaner to strengthen our team. The work is 2-shift or 3-shift work between Mon-Sun and the employment contracts are full-time (38.25h/week) and valid until further notice. Work starts on September 1, 2026. Why choose us? We consider it an advantage if you have a basic or professional qualification in the cleaning services field (facility maintenance worker or hospital maintenance worker) and previous experience in cleaning tasks. Work in the surgical unit is occasionally heavy and requires good physical condition from the doer. We hope that you have an understanding of asepsis, a responsible working style, and thoroughness in details. Written and oral skills in Finnish are essential for the task, as is vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. The person selected for the position must be 18 years old. Remuneration is according to the KT corporate sector YTES and the basic salary is €2217.33 – €2417.50/month depending on the applicant's level of professional skill and expertise (the basic salary does not yet include the YTES general increase). In addition to the basic salary, shift premiums and a possible experience year bonus are paid if you have previously acquired experience in the cleaning field.
