In 2027, the Pori pedestrian street will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To honor the anniversary year, activating measures, events, and spatial pilots will be implemented in the pedestrian street and the closely related Market Square areas. We are seeking an imaginative, bold, and open-minded producer for a fixed-term position in the Pori pedestrian street anniversary year implementation team. Together with the city's steering group, the producer is responsible for the overall scope and production of the pedestrian street's 50th anniversary year events based on an approved plan. Tasks include, among other things, building and developing the anniversary year program map, as well as coordinating and organizing the measures to be implemented. The producer is responsible for implementations before, during, and after the events. The producer acts as the city's contact person for event organizers, entrepreneurs, associations, and other partners, and is responsible for event notifications, permits, and other official cooperation. The job offers a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the diverse field of Pori's urban development and owner steering unit and to influence the development of event activity, cooperation culture, and vibrancy in Pori's city center. The producer's duties include: - Building and developing the program map for the Kävis50 anniversary year 2027 - Coordinating and organizing events and handling event notifications and official cooperation (e.g., permit matters) - Coordinating and organizing spatial pilots - Monitoring and analyzing visitor numbers for events and spatial pilots, and reporting on the overall anniversary year - Preparing calls for operators - Broad stakeholder cooperation - Assisting in the anniversary year's communication and marketing tasks The producer is required to have a suitable lower higher education degree or an equivalent previous institute-level degree or vocational qualification, as well as experience in event production or similar projects. We also consider applicants in the final stages of their studies. Successful performance of the task requires extensive knowledge of the event industry, the ability to brainstorm various event concepts, and systematic event production expertise. We are looking for a person who is efficient, has good interaction and cooperation skills, and the ability to deal with both Finnish and English-speaking customers and partners. Experience in city center development projects and communication skills, such as managing social media content production, are considered an advantage. The position includes occasional evening and weekend work. Work begins on October 1, 2026. The first part of the employment from October 1 to December 31, 2026, is with reduced working hours (60%), and from January 1 to December 31, 2027, the employment continues with 100% hours. The position-specific salary is 2,916.38 euros per month. The terms of employment are determined according to KVTES. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
