Job Description As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for coordinating import and export air freight shipments and interacting smoothly with customers, airlines, and other partners. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in sea freight tasks and collaborate across different modes of transport. You will join an operational team of eight people, working closely with other forwarders. We Offer - A permanent position in a growing international logistics company - The opportunity to expand your expertise in other modes of transport - Support from an expert work community - A flexible hybrid work model and flexible working hours Responsibilities The role includes diverse operational air freight forwarding tasks, including both export and import operations, customer service, and documentation management. - Coordination of air freight import and export shipments - Planning and monitoring of shipments - Communication with airlines, partners, and stakeholders - Preparation of transport documents and customs clearances - Customer service and real-time shipment tracking - Handling of DGR shipments and related documentation - Collaboration with the operational team and sales to ensure service quality - Management and resolution of exceptions in the logistics chain - Participation in the operational activities of other transport modes as needed We Are Looking For We hope you are an experienced forwarding professional who enjoys versatile work and wants to help grow the business. In addition to these qualities, we expect: - Several years of experience in air freight forwarding - Experience specifically in air freight imports, and preferably exports as well - Understanding of international logistics and forwarding processes - Willingness to learn various ERP and reporting systems. A modern E2Open forwarding software will be implemented in 2025 - Fluent skills in Finnish and English Considered an Advantage: - Experience in sea or road freight forwarding - Valid DGR training (dangerous goods air transport) - TVO qualification or experience in air freight export processes - Other language skills in addition to Finnish and English To succeed in the role, you are: - Supportive - Able to handle stress - Organized - Eager to learn NOTE! The selected person will undergo a limited security clearance. Additionally, the role may require meeting aviation industry security requirements. If you do not have valid DGR training, Scan Global Logistics will provide training at the start of employment.
