We are seeking an ophthalmology specialist for Jyväskylä, Keski-Suomi, to join Solo Health’s medical team. The position is at Jyväskylä Central Hospital for the period 10 September 2026 to 31 May 2027. The role covers ophthalmology outpatient services, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in adult and pediatric patients. Tasks include non-urgent and urgent clinic appointments, telephone work and consultations (tele-visits), physician statements, collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team, and hospital-level surgical activities. The hospital uses the LifeCare patient record system. Requirements include a specialist qualification in ophthalmology, at least 2 years of experience as an ophthalmologist, expertise in major eye diseases (e.g., diabetes, glaucoma, retinal degeneration, uveitis), vaccination protection as per Infectious Diseases Act section 48, and good Finnish language skills. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00. Total compensation is determined by experience; possibility to work as a self-employed practitioner is offered.
