The Position: You will do your internship / master thesis in the Chapter Near Patient Care Research & Early Development. The chapter’s task is the pre-development of Near Patient Care systems for subsequent product development. What you can expect: Your task is to develop novel biosensors and characterize them regarding their construction and function. You will develop sensor layouts using state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing methods and electrochemical characterization methods. Who you are: You have completed your B.Sc. in the field of Bio(Chemistry), Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Microsystems Technology or related fields with excellent results. Ideally you have knowledge and experience in the manufacture and characterization of biosensors. Ideally you know the basics of polymer technology and fabrication techniques. Ideally you have not only basic knowledge of statistics but also know methods for filtering and fitting measurement data. Knowledge in chemistry and electrochemistry is advantageous. High professional interest, especially in interdisciplinary work. Enthusiasm, independence, high commitment, goal orientation. Communication and teamwork, sociability. Good English skills.
