The City of Nokia's sports services are seeking a PERMANENT SPORTS INSTRUCTOR starting September 14, 2026, or by agreement. The sports instructor is responsible for instructing various health and fitness groups aimed at different ages, as well as instructing beginner swimming schools and school swimming sessions. Duties include swimming supervision, customer service, and ensuring the safety of swimming hall customers. The goal of the work is to promote movement, health, and well-being for people of all ages. The sports instructor participates in the planning of swimming hall operations and sports services together with other staff. The sports instructor plans and implements various sports events. Cooperation with educational institutions, early childhood education units, sports and athletics clubs, and other stakeholders in the field is part of the duties. The role of a sports instructor requires responsibility, sufficient physical capacity, excellent interaction skills, and versatile sports instruction skills. Additionally, the work requires continuous development of own expertise and maintenance of rescue and first aid skills. You will be a member of the swimming hall's sports instructor team and possess good interaction skills. Work includes evening and weekend shifts. Eligibility requirements for the position are a suitable lower university degree, a vocational qualification in sports instruction, or equivalent education in the field of sports. The swimming hall sports instructor is required to successfully complete a swimming supervisor test swim before the selection decision is made. The selected candidate must present an approved criminal record extract (Act on the investigation of the criminal background of persons working with children 504/2022).
