SOS-Lapsikylä is seeking an innovative and organized area manager for preventive services to lead and coordinate child, youth, and family support work across the western operation area (Turku, Kaarina, Raisio and surroundings). The role includes acting as a front-line supervisor of the western preventive team, ensuring activities for low-threshold meetups (e.g., Grandma/Grandpa lounges), planning and developing youth involvement initiatives, coordinating youth work groups and employment preparation programs, recruiting and supporting volunteers, collaborating with local schools to enable recreational support activities, and securing funding for the area through grants and local fundraising. The area manager develops preventive work nationally in cooperation with a supervisor, other area managers and development planners, ensuring understanding of the support needs of vulnerable children, youths, and families and implementing area activities. The position requires some travel and evening/weekend work. We value a university degree, self-driven work style, collaboration skills, and experience in supervising, coordinating volunteers, and practical frontline work with children, families, and older adults. Experience in child protection and/or youth work is preferred.
