Transformer Fitter

We are currently seeking transformer fitters for versatile and demanding special transformer production tasks at the transformer factory, Hitachi Energy's Transformers business unit in Vaasa. With us, you will do meaningful work as part of the global energy transition. Our factory combines long traditions and top expertise in the development and manufacture of special transformers for demanding applications. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop in transformer assembly production. Hitachi Energy is investing approximately 180 million dollars (approximately 170 million euros) in a new production and technology center in the Vikby industrial area in Mustasaari. The center, named Hitachi Energy Park and completed in 2027, will feature a new state-of-the-art transformer factory, which will double the production and testing capacity of transformers in Finland. It will also include modern office and testing facilities for the company's electrification project and automation and software development professionals. **Your Responsibilities** - Assembly of the transformer's active part according to parts lists and drawings - Performing inspection measurements during installation - Following safe working practices and ensuring the cleanliness and order of the working environment - High-quality and efficient execution of your own work as part of the production team **Your Background** - Experience in tasks requiring manual dexterity. Previous work experience in the installation and connection of machinery and equipment is considered an advantage. - Good teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, and initiative - Willingness to work in shifts - Good physical condition and a safety-oriented way of thinking and acting - A flexible and positive attitude towards work and a desire to commit to the role - Proficiency in Finnish - A vocational qualification in a technical field or work experience, as well as basic IT skills, are considered an advantage
