Join us as an early childhood education assistant on a fixed-term contract at our Toppelund Day Care Centre. We have 5 different children's groups for 1-6 year olds. Your work will be in the pre-primary group for 5-6 year olds. As a group-specific assistant, you will work 4 hours per day between 9:00 and 15:00. Your colleagues will be a childcare worker and 2 early childhood education teachers. We also collaborate between our children's groups. Toppelund Day Care Centre is located in a wonderful spot in Haukilahden by the seaside. The proximity to the sea and nature enriches and diversifies the day care centre's learning and activity environment. Our location has good transport connections. The Haukilahden library and its services are located near the day care centre. The proximity of other cultural and sports services in Tapiola also allows them to be used as excursion destinations and extended learning environments. In our day care centre, we show genuine interest in children's own thoughts and ideas. We encourage and motivate children to try new things and think of solutions. We give children the opportunity to teach their skills to others. Here, children and educators learn things together and from each other reciprocally. The work of an early childhood education assistant is versatile and inspiring. You will actively participate in the activities of the children's group together with other employees. Your duties also include assisting during meals and dressing, as well as participating in children's outdoor activities. You enjoy working with children, and positive interaction is important to you. We value versatile skills, and various types of work experience are beneficial in this position. You could be, for example, a career changer. Eligibility requirement: Suitable education or other qualification suitable for the position. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of the risk of tuberculosis infection for those working with children under school age.
