We are seeking a Technical Purchaser for Balanus Oy to handle material acquisitions for demanding industrial and data center projects and to manage the supply chain. Balanus Oy, founded in 1989, is a Finnish family-owned company specializing in the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of industrial and HVAC piping systems. In this role you will be a key player ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of materials, components, devices and other technical products in accordance with design bill of materials, technical requirements and project timelines. You will work closely with the purchasing manager, project leadership, design, production, logistics, warehousing, sites and suppliers. Responsibilities include issuing Requests for Quotations and maintaining supplier relationships; evaluating offers and preparing procurement decisions; acquiring required piping materials, components and equipment; negotiating prices, delivery times and contractual terms; processing purchase orders and verifying confirmations; tracking deliveries and proactively mitigating procurement risks; identifying alternative suppliers and products; maintaining and developing procurement documentation. You are expected to interpret technical documents, material lists and specifications, and to understand supply chains and scheduling. Fluent Finnish and good English are required; experience in industrial, HVAC or machinery environments is a plus.
