The City of Salo's facility services are seeking a Building Manager. Facility Services is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and repair activities of properties owned by the City of Salo, as well as construction projects. Facility Services is divided into units for building design, property maintenance and upkeep, and annual repairs. The total staff strength is approximately 50 people, seven of whom serve in supervisory roles. Property maintenance is primarily handled in-house. The property mass to be managed is just under 240,000 m2, with a total of approximately 300 buildings. The Building Manager's duties include the supervision of the City of Salo's building construction contracts and the organization of annual repairs. The Building Manager works in cooperation with other experts in Facility Services and property maintenance. Key areas of responsibility are: - preparation of procurements and requests for tenders related to annual repairs - verification of invoices - organization of repair work for the city's properties - supervision of investment and repair contracts - implementation and supervision of repairs related to indoor air issues - implementation and supervision of repairs for water, fire, and other damages We are a reliable and stable employer. The eligibility requirement is a degree as a Construction Manager (rakennusmestari) or an equivalent higher education degree. The position requires at least two years of work experience in project management for renovation construction. We value good interaction skills and initiative. Use of a private car is required. Remuneration is according to the technical agreement. The position-specific salary is €3,815.77/month. In addition, an experience-based supplement may be paid in accordance with the official and collective agreement. We also pay a personal supplement to all whose employment relationship has lasted over 6 months. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship, provided that the conditions of the official and collective agreement are met.
