**SSAB is building a new Mini Mill steel plant in Luleå, Sweden, which is one of Europe's most exciting industrial projects and a significant step towards fossil-free steel production.** **Lifting professionals from Kurko Projects are carrying out the lifting and installation work for the project. We are now looking for a foreman who will be present on-site and responsible for the daily management, safety, and progress of our own team in cooperation with the main contractor.** **Core of your work:** - lead Kurko's crane operators on site and be responsible for daily supervision - plan lifting operations together with the client's management and ensure that lifting plans, risk assessments, and work permits are in order before work begins - ensure that the client's and main contractor's safety requirements are implemented in practice – inductions, kick-off meetings, safety observations, and deviation reports - maintain contact with the main contractor's site management and participate in daily and weekly site meetings - ensure that time entries, actuals, and work documentation are up to date and billable - ensure that the crew has the necessary qualifications, cards, and access permits valid and that site records (e.g., ID06, personnel list) are accurate - support new employees in their induction and ensure that the team stays together even during long rotations What we hope for from you? - experience in the supervision of lifting work, installation work, or industrial sites - knowledge of lifting and heavy equipment – you understand the planning of lifting work, equipment selection, and qualification requirements - ability to lead people at the pace of the site: clear instructions, quick decisions, and the ability to keep a cool head in changing situations - genuine safety mindset – you do not overlook things even when the schedule is tight - systematic approach and fluent use of basic systems (time entries, reporting, documentation) - fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English - Swedish language skills, experience working in Sweden, and knowledge of Swedish site practices are considered a strong advantage The position requires the right to work in Sweden. - What we offer? - the opportunity to work in one of Europe's most exciting industrial projects - a responsible and independent role where the results of your work are visible in the daily life of the site - a straightforward work community with experienced lifting professionals – short decision paths and support behind you - a rotation work model (11 days work, 11 days home / 2 weeks work, 2 weeks home), and your place of residence does not need to be in Luleå - a long-term site that continues for years – and the opportunity to grow as the organization expands **Interested?** If you enjoy working on site and want to be involved in developing our operations in demanding industrial projects, we want to hear from you.
