Classroom Teacher

We are seeking a classroom teacher for a fourth-grade class for the period 7 January–4 June 2027. Laakavuori Primary School in eastern Helsinki is a diverse neighborhood school where everyone is different but equal. The school has about 270 pupils. There are six special-support classes, and the school has a preparatory education group. We participate in the Welcome Families initiative, which promotes integration. An important value at our school is that every pupil has the opportunity to learn good basic skills in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. We respect one another and encourage each other to participate and take responsibility. All classes at our school work together using flexible grouping. Laakavuori Primary School is undergoing reforms and changes. We are laying the groundwork for a new unified comprehensive school, which in the coming years will be built as a multipurpose center to replace the old school building. During construction, we moved to temporary premises and began studying there in January 2026. At Laakavuori Primary School, we value collaboration.
