Chief Ward Physician

The South Savo Wellbeing Services County Eloisa is seeking a Chief Ward Physician for internal medicine at Savonlinna Hospital for a permanent position starting October 1, 2026, or by agreement. The role is based in a 22-bed specialized care ward, where the physician is responsible for the care of internal medicine patients in collaboration with physicians in specialization. Depending on preference, the role can include outpatient clinic receptions and participation in informal back-up on-call duties for internal medicine. Proficiency in Finnish (oral and written) is required. The position also requires vaccination protection and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per the Communicable Diseases Act. A six-month probationary period applies.
