We are seeking a nurse for a permanent employment contract at the forensic psychiatry clinic. Nurse! Seize a unique opportunity and join our highly professional, close-knit work group, which includes nurses, occupational therapists, a doctor, psychologists, and a social worker. Our forensic psychiatry clinic is the first of its kind in Finland. In addition to the care and research of patients in its own area, the clinic also provides national services. The forensic psychiatry clinic belongs to the HUS Psychiatry psychosis diseases and forensic psychiatry line's enhanced ward care and forensic psychiatry unit. The clinic operates on the Psychiatric Center campus in Helsinki. After the buildings of the Laakso joint hospital project are completed, the clinic will also move to new premises in the Laakso hospital area. Special tasks include the care and rehabilitation of forensic psychiatric patients, the implementation of the monitoring period determined by THL, and the assessment and prevention of the risk of violent behavior in patients. Other severely symptomatic patients and high-risk patients are also examined, treated, and rehabilitated at the clinic. Risk assessments and consultations are performed at the clinic. Various group activities are also part of the clinic's daily routine. A care plan that supports the patient's quality of life is made based on a mapping. The care plan is drawn up multidisciplinarilly in cooperation with the patient and the network participating in their rehabilitation. The main forms of treatment are committed and goal-oriented therapeutic relationship work, individual meetings, medication assessment and monitoring, psychoeducation, family and network meetings, and group activities. Patients are met flexibly either remotely, in the clinic's premises, in housing service units, or at the patient's home. Treatment is based on confidential cooperation. We hope that applicants have understanding and experience of forensic psychiatry as a specialty, good cooperation, interaction, and teamwork skills, an independent approach to work, the ability to act in changing situations, a development-positive attitude, and good stress tolerance. Experience in nurse clinic work, knowledge of psychotherapeutic working methods - for example, HUS Psychiatry's KLT training, sexual anamnesis training, or other applicable method knowledge such as DKT or MBT training is considered an advantage. Work starts October 5, 2026, or by agreement. The position-specific salary starts from 3146.75 and possible experience and other additions.
