Lujatalo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric). We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to develop our organization's next-generation data and analytics platform in a Microsoft Fabric environment. In the role, you will build a modern data platform supporting reporting, analytics, and future AI solutions. Your key task is to develop a new reporting and analytics environment and modernize current SQL Server and SSAS-based solutions to the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will operate as part of the IT management team and work closely with software designers, data analysts, and business experts. You are responsible for the development of the data platform and play a central role in the management, practices, and development of the Fabric environment, ensuring the platform is secure, high-performing, and scalable. This is a senior-level expert role combining practical development of modern data platforms and the opportunity to influence the future of data-driven management and data utilization in the organization. We are looking for a person with several years of experience in similar data platform development and expert tasks. We seek someone who is excited about developing data platforms, designing technical solutions, and promoting data utilization in collaboration with business and other experts. It is natural for you to: act as a technical expert in data-related solutions; design and implement entities independently and take responsibility for their functionality; develop operating models, utilize new technology features, and promote best practices; communicate clearly to both technical and business stakeholders; combine business needs and modern technical solutions into practical implementations. We hope for: a suitable university degree; 5-10 years of experience in data processing, BI solutions, or data platform development; experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform solutions, or other modern cloud-based data platforms; strong SQL skills and experience using Python in data processing; experience with data pipelines, data integration, data modeling, and lakehouse or data warehouse solutions; experience with Power BI environments and implementing reporting solutions; experience with SQL Server and SSAS-based solutions or their modernization to cloud environments; experience with Git version control and modern development and publishing practices; an analytical, solution-focused, and development-oriented approach; strong collaboration and interaction skills. We also value experience with data governance solutions, modern DevOps practices, and the use of AI and Copilot solutions in data and analytics environments. Employment is full-time and permanent. The location is Lujatalo's office in Espoo or Kuopio. We work in a hybrid model combining remote work and office work. We hope for regular weekly presence at the office to support collaboration and teamwork. Apply via our recruitment system by August 14, 2026. For more information, contact Development Manager Riikka Pallaskorpi (riikka.pallaskorpi@luja.fi, 044-5852043).
