Lifestyle Counseling Coordinator

City of Vantaa, Urban Culture and Well-being, Sports Service Area Silkkitehtaantie 5 C, 01300 Vantaa Employment duration: Fixed-term 17.08.2026 or by agreement - 31.12.2026 The City of Vantaa's sports service area is seeking a fixed-term lifestyle counseling coordinator to work in the Vantaa Moving Students – adding movement through sports counseling – project. The project is a collaboration between the City of Vantaa's sports service area and the upper secondary education service area, and its goal is to promote the physical activity of young people studying in upper secondary education in Vantaa and to support educational institutions in developing a more active operational culture. The lifestyle counseling coordinator will act as an expert responsible for implementing and developing the project's measures. The role primarily involves sports and lifestyle counseling for upper secondary students, as well as related planning and development tasks. Additionally, the duties include the planning and organization of various trainings and events, as well as multidisciplinary stakeholder work. The Vantaa Moving Students team, the project's multidisciplinary steering group, and other teams implementing lifestyle counseling in Vantaa will provide support for success in the work. An extension for the project will be applied for through spring 2027. The confirmation of the extension will be finalized during the autumn. Eligibility requirement: Suitable higher education degree In addition to the eligibility requirement, we require: Knowledge of opportunities to increase the sports culture of young people and movement during the school day, knowledge and application of the most common behavior change models in sports and lifestyle counseling, and knowledge and ability to apply national physical activity recommendations. Furthermore, a development orientation, good interaction skills, organizational ability, and an active and independent approach to work are required.
