Liikunnanohjaaja (Koulu PT)

We are seeking a School PT for the sports instruction team of Kouvola Sports Services for the period 3.9.2026 - 16.5.2027. The position is part-time, 30 hours per week. As a School PT, you will be part of the City of Kouvola's sports instruction team. You will work in a pair with another School PT and be supported by other professional sports instructors, basic education staff, and the project worker for the Kouvola Hobby Model. In this role at schools, you will act as a fitness coach, sports companion, and group instructor for students. The School PT may provide both individual and group instruction. Additionally, you will plan and implement activities that promote physical activity in cooperation with basic education schools and various stakeholders. In your work, you will utilize Move! measurement results as well as the expertise of the Active School team, physical education teachers, and school healthcare. As a School PT, you are responsible for the marketing and communication of activities to target and stakeholder groups. Eligibility requirement for the position is a Bachelor of Sports Instruction (AMK) or another suitable higher education degree. We hope you have an innovative approach to work, excellent interaction skills, the ability to meet children and young people individually, and strong ICT skills. Experience working in basic education and in individual and group sports instruction for different ages is considered an advantage. The position requires the use of a private car to enable movement between different sites. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to KVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 (Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children) before starting work. The position includes a 4-month probationary period. Interviews will be held during week 33.
